Over the past 10 – 15 years developments in brain science have overturned long held beliefs about how our brain functions. Discoveries in the field of neuroplasticity show that our brain is not a fixed piece of machinery, but can continue to grow and evolve during the course of our lives. What an exciting range of opportunities this offers us to change and evolve in new directions.
We’ve recently added two articles to the site that address the role our brain plays in both the quality of our relationships and our life. Steve Zanon from Proactive Ageing introduces us to the concept of ‘brain training’ and the opportunities this opens up for us in his article titled ‘Investing in Your Long Term Quality of Life’. Whilst Rob Brown of Peppin Planners, discusses how the inner workings of our brain affects our family relationships in an article titled ‘Protecting Family Relationships’.
If you would like to follow through on the concepts outlined in Steve’s article he is running a one day ‘Mind Fitness Workshop’ in Melbourne on Sunday 15th April.
